In 2006, Ejike Ugboaja became the first player to be drafted by an NBA team straight from Africa, without first playing in college or overseas. He is an incredibly gifted athlete, who is one of the best rebounding forwards in the entire basketball world today. He displays good skills around the basket, and is a very good shooter from outside, including 3 point range. On the defensive end, Ejike is a great shot blocker and alterer. His presence immediately bolsters any team's defense.
This video is from the Iranian Superleague, where Ejike played this winter after playing in the NBDL before that.
